Ginger does wonders to fire up your digestive system. Good digestion is the cornerstone of health and well-being according to Ayurveda. Combine that with honey & the vitamin C in lemon, and you've got yourself an incredibly healthy dose to boost your immune system.
1½ cup of water
1-inch piece of fresh ginger (crushed or sliced)
juice from ¼ - ½ of fresh lemon
½ teaspoon raw honey (optional)
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Add the ginger and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain the tea and pour into a mug. Add the lemon juice.
