Healing Turmeric Tonic



Here is an excellent way to reap the benefits of the golden spice.


3-4 cups of boiling water

1-inch piece of fresh ginger root (sliced or crushed)

2 teaspoons ground turmeric

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 pinches of ground black pepper

½ teaspoon raw honey (optional)


Bring water to a boil in a small pot and add the fresh ginger. Simmer for 10 minutes on medium-low heat. Pour into a mug. Add turmeric, cinnamon and black pepper.
