My wellness journey

Ayurvedic practices were instilled in me from a very young age. However, I truly embraced Ayurveda only many years later in an effort to treat a chronic skin condition. After consulting with several dermatologists and allopathic doctors, it was only with Ayurveda that I found a cure and understood the root cause of my condition. This life changing journey led me to uncover my passion for holistic medicine and healing.

After a career in the tech industry, I decided to pursue my deep interest in holistic medicine and study Ayurveda at Mount Madonna College of Ayurveda. During this time, I had the wonderful opportunity to learn from Dr. Vasant Lad - the pioneering doctor who brought Ayurveda to the United States, Dr. R.H. Singh - the founder of the Association of Ayurvedic Physicians of India and renowned Ayurvedic fertility specialist, Dr. Sarita Shrestha.

Through my own journey and work with clients, I have gained a deep understanding of how chronic health conditions and metabolic disorders are a result of poor eating habits and lifestyle choices.

While I treat many common health problems in my practice, I’ve chosen to specialize in gut health because digestive issues are the onset of numerous diseases.

My love for movement

Staying active is integral to my identity. Playing basketball and soccer from childhood through adulthood gave me a strong foundation of physical activity -  an aspect of health that I don’t take for granted. I believe that movement is fluid and every form of activity has something amazing to offer our body.

My love of exploring movement and finding ways to keep the body strong and agile led me to become a Personal Trainer. The benefits I’ve experienced since combining Ayurveda and movement have been incredibly healing and empowering.

When I’m not coaching clients or immersed in Ayurvedic literature, I like to spend my time exploring movement, biking around San Francisco, hiking, cooking, traveling and watching foreign films.

My goal

Every positive health choice is a vital step towards cultivating sustainable well-being and I truly believe that we are all capable of doing this. By teaching my clients and community the principles of Ayurveda and the importance of movement, I seek to shine the light on self-care, balance, disease prevention and early treatment.
