Squeeze The Day! 🍋


Ok! So I don't know about you, but when I think "citrus fruits", what comes to mind is a freshly squeezed, refreshing beverage on a warm summer day. Right? But did you know that citrus are actually winter fruits? Yep! Just in time to load you up with vitamin C, an immunity booster that helps keep you from catching that dreaded cold.

In Ayurveda we say that nature gives us what we need based on the seasons and when we need it the most. I think this is absolutely beautiful. It really is a reminder that nature holds many gifts for us.

So I encourage you to take advantage of winter’s harvest and load up on a variety of fresh citrus fruit. Stop by your local farmers’ market to learn what is available in your area - you may even come across a fruit you haven’t tried before, like Buddha’s hand! I’ve yet to try it.
